To provide information and support while encouraging hope and faith to all individuals who are coping with the effects of a severe and persistent mental illness or negative life situation with special emphasis on adults within the faith based community, African Americans, and the economically disadvantaged who have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Bipolar, and other psychotic disorders. Our services are designed for anyone who can use them.
Mission
“To provide information and support while encouraging hope and faith”
Vision
Our vision is for all individuals to have access to the knowledge and resources that empower them to make informed decisions about their mental health and life journey, enabling them to fulfill their God-given purpose.
Service Goals
The mission, objectives, and goals of our organization have been shaped by several critical factors:
* The ongoing challenges faced by individuals affected by severe and persistent mental illness—and by many older adults—in accessing assistance, information, and meaningful support
* The significant role that religion and spirituality play in the lives of individuals who practice these beliefs
* The continuing mental health disparities present in certain communities
Religion & Spirituality
For individuals who embrace religious or spiritual practices, these beliefs can provide structure, connection, encouragement, and hope. We honor and incorporate this dimension for those who find strength in it. Click Here
African American
Our commitment to supporting African American individuals and families reflects our understanding of the unique and persistent challenges this community faces. We recognize the need for culturally informed outreach, advocacy, and support. Click Here
Ongoing Challenges
Severe and persistent mental illnesses—such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorders—can significantly impair a person’s ability to maintain employment, engage socially, and manage daily life activities. Through our services, we aim to reduce these barriers by offering information, support, and pathways to meaningful recovery. Click Here
