What is it?

Moving Forward Non Crisis Telephone Support Line is a non-crisis telephone support line for individuals, family members, and other concerned parties who would like someone to talk to or request community mental health resources. The person who answers the phone is a Christian peer or family member who has been impacted by severe and persistent mental illness. Staff do not provide  mental health counseling.

Moving Forward Non Crisis Telephone Support Line is not a hot line, crisis line or suicide prevention line. If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis please call 911.

Our Staff

Our team consists of a team of faith based mental health advocates, family members, consumers, peers, and members with lived mental health experiences. We know what it is like to live with symptoms that you can’t get rid of, to stand by a loved one who has just been admitted into the hospital, and to advocate or have to find needed services.

Our Goals

  1. Be an understanding ear for callers who needs someone to listen to them.
  2. To infuse prayer and faith into the recovery process

When to Call

We are open Every Tuesday 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. Individuals who call after those times can leave a message and a staff will call you back. During peak call times, phone calls will be limited to 20 minutes.
